Our 5 stars logo design process

This is a sample of our logo design creative process. callPlease™ is a brand created by Gregg Fienberg, an American award-winning television producer and director. The final result was a simple and effective concept, versatile enough to be used in the app, website, and marketing material. Read Client’s review

1. Design Brief

The first step is to get the design brief to understand better the specific client’s needs. These answers are private. That is why we are sharing our branding questionnaire with you. Feel free to complete it if you need a professional logo for your brand

2. Research

The brand name is great. “callPlease™” There is nothing to guess about the company’s service and industry; it’s straightforward and meaningful. Thus, we considered creating a concept with the same characteristics. We analyzed some logos that are a graphic representation of the brand name, here we have some samples: Apple is an apple, Red Cross is a red cross, Shell is a shell, Target is a target, Jaguar is a jaguar, and there are much more brands using the same technique.

3. Conceptualization

The simplest idea would be to use a phone horn, but we will be facing a couple of problems; first of all, a phone horn has been used millions of times. Secondly, we are not representing a brand called Phone. The brand name is callPlease™, which means that we have to design a concept to describe an action, not an object. After our analysis, we concluded that regardless of the language, there is a universal symbol to say, “Call Please

4. Sketching

We worked on these sketches exploring different alternatives to represent the “Call Please” symbol. It was important to understand that we have to create a concept that will represent the brand, and at the same time, it will be used as the app icon; it must be simple and easy to use in small sizes

5. Digitalization

Here we have some vectorized ideas; we were not working on the colors yet; the purpose was to test some shapes combined with the name. We recommend using a lowercase “c.” When using a capital “C,” the “a” vocal is surrounded by five tall letters, which will stop the name’s flow

Final logo and app icon versions

This is the final logo presented to the client. The hand symbol fits perfectly inside the app icon and works with the brand’s name and tagline. We are written  callPlease™ as a single word; instead of adding a space between the two words, we created a visual differentiation using two different tones of blue

I hired Javier to do the branding for the new mobile APP named CallPlease. It’s a unique product that did not lend itself to obvious branding. Javier created graphics that fit exactly what we had hoped for, professional yet fun and out of the box. I can only give him my highest recommendation, as he fully met our expectations, and is an absolute pleasure to work with!
