Creative process.

Brief.

Eyeglass Discounter provide the best and most effective eye care services available anywhere online. Eyeglass Discounter provides each and every one of our valued customers with a team of highly talented staff that you can trust, the goal is to design a brand identity to communicate consumers that EYEGLASS DISCOUNTER offers high quality products for a competitive price.

Research.

The first step was to analyze other brands offering same product and services, some of these logos were referred by the clients during the brief process.

Brainstorming.

If we analyze the shape of the word “eye”, we could see that it can be easily transformed into a little face, where the vocal “e” will represent the eyes and the “y” will be represent the nose, we will use this face to represent the consumer and since the word “eye” is part of the brand name, the final result will be an effective integration between consumer, product and the brand.

Conceptualization.

These are some random concepts to represent a face using the  word “eye”, I have combined different typefaces, additionally I’m supporting the concepts  with elements such as hats, lips, etc. Some of them make look funny, but this is part of the creative process, it  is always important to dig into different alternatives before get the final concept.

Production.

It is important to communicate  the concept in a simple way without being too obvious, a detailed draw usually results in a bad quality logo, I have selected a simple and strong font which makes the logo unique, the typography is basically intact with a slight customization in the “y” to represent a nose, additionally I have added a small curve underneath to give a friendly appearance to the concept, the final result is a strong but friendly mark which could be used with the brand name or individually as an icon in apps and social media profiles.

Color test.

These are some color variations I did, personally the red option is perfect, it is strong  and it will give us a good contrast when we use the logo on pictures and marketing material.
